About Mobile Ad-hoc Networks

by arun on June 26, 2009

Mobile Ad-hoc Networks is known as MANET. The purpose of the MANET working group is to regulate IP routing protocol functionality appropriate for wireless routing application surrounded by both static and dynamic topologies with increased dynamics due to node action and other features. Mobile Ad hoc networks change its links to other devices normally thus because each device in a MANET is free to move independently in any direction.

A mobile ad hoc network is a collection of mobile wireless nodes that can energetically form a network without essentially using any pre-existing communications. Different types of MANET are used like Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks, Intelligent vehicular ad hoc networks, Internet Based Mobile Ad-hoc Networks. A MANET is an independent collection of mobile users that communicate over comparatively bandwidth forced wireless links. Mobile ad-hoc network are free to move and classify them in a random way. Mobile ad-hoc networks can be able to connect anywhere and at any time.
