Facebook has been adjudged the most visited website in the US this year. It had the highest percentage of about 8.93% outscoring Google by nearly 1.8%. The list follows with Yahoo mail as the third, Yahoo website the fourth and YouTube as fifth among the top 5. The results published by Experian Hitwise presents the comparison of this year’s results with the previous one.

The previous year obviously saw Google emerging the most visited website the world over. This is the first time Facebook has been ranked number one and it has been adjudged the most searched website of the year too. Google combined with all of its websites competes with Facebook’s percentage and proves to be a difficult opponent. Let’s hope we get similar surprises next year.

Samajwadi party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav got into deep trouble during this year’s Holi celebration. Mulayam was alleged to distribute money to people during Holi which was tracked by the election commission. Election commission has sent a notice against Mulayam for deviating from the rules of election commission. The event happened in the district of Etawah in Uttar Pradesh.

Chief election commissioner A.K.Bishnoi has sought report from the district magistrate in this event. The samajwadi leader denied the charge against him saying that it is a custom during holi to reward the near and dear. The video telecasted by some of the channels during the celebrations was the root cause of the incident.

Mulayam was surprised of the charge against him and told media people that if somebody wants to ban it, they have to ban the festival of Holi also. He added that even it is a custom to give ‘imam’ at holi, this time he has not given anything to anybody.
