HTS generators are advance technologies which have number of benefits. When compare to other generators HTS generators will Increase machine efficiency further than 99%, reducing losses by as much as 50% over conventional generators. Energy will be saved and the cost of the life cycle in HTS generator will be less. The energy produced trough HTS will reduce the pollution. And it also decrease the capital and installation cost.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">High temperature superconducting generators are smaller and lighter which uses an air core design. HTS generators will make electric power with lower losses than their conservative equivalents. The main advantage of HTS generators has the capacity of being considerably hyper to allow power factor correction without adding synchronous reactors or capacitors to the power system. HTS technology presents many advantages for recent shipbuilding.</p>

It is having a Multi fuel capability and more Flexibility and reliability. It is very easy starting and control limitations. Free piston engines are widely used as submarine air compressor units and these engines are suitable for power generation in medium power range.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The free-piston engine is further well suited for Homogenous Charge Compression Ignition operation. The main aim of free-piston engine is engine control, which can only be said to be fully solved for single piston hydraulic free-piston engines. In free piston engines, the stroke of the piston is used directly to produce hydraulic, pneumatic or electric energy. The designs of free piston engines can be divided into three categories like single piston, dual piston and opposed piston.</p>
